Missing rivets.

Ribs or keel.

Heck, in less than acceptable condition.

In addition, a wide area of packaging and remnants of such a donation could leak.

Never, never bought, never have any kind of boat when you can take water for later use if the person refuses the sale, go to the next boat, I would try beams, uneven and deep holes of course, brings it on the lake before you buy, make sure that all gaskets are in good condition (no ribs were removed, the superstructure of the vessel

Yes, it should float. Not that the usual rust. (each with a name like Remington Steele should know aluminum does not rust). Look for loose rivets, many of the old caulking, if you live in the United States, the boat must have a title. There are a number on each side of the bow. This is the hallmark of the boat. If the seller does not have a registration or ownership of that number, do not buy it.

I agree with KC, it may also be useful to examine carefully into the bow, where the facade is to a large extent it is possible to look rested, a few scratches and possible cracks. Well, the scratches are not so bad and have to wait, but cracks are a different story and had to be repaired.

If the lift of the earth above the ground and put water on him and see if it escapes. Based on the substance and goods taken on the rocks. Heck, if it cracks in the wood behind the aluminum.
